Every month of July, the Department of Education launches the nationwide celebration on Nutrition Month. Usually the theme focuses on encouraging every Filipinos to increase consumption of vegetables to address micronutrient deficiencies and prevent diseases. We involved students to bring nutritious food such as vegetables and fruits during recess time every Friday for grades 1 to 3 for them to be aware of the nutritional benefits of the food they eat. There were other activities prepared for pre-school, Grades 4, 5, 6 and High School, too.
