Circular No.0910-0017
Jan 12, 2010

Dear Parents,

Greetings of Peace!

The Marikina City Health Office (MCHO) established the Marikina City Blood Station to ensure that there is adequate supply of blood within the City. This move has played a big role in the alleviation of human suffering through the support of the city government.

Many Marikeños have already benefitted from this endeavor thus the blood supply need to be replenished, over and over again. This is why the IJA Family participates yearly in this worthy endeavor. We are proud to say that for the past years with everyone's help, IJA had been acknowledged and awarded by Marikina City as the top donor private school within the City.

In connection with this the IJA Health Service Department in cooperation with Marikina City Health Office and the Marikina Blood Bank Station will conduct a Voluntary Mass Blood Donation on January 23, 2010 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the IJA school grounds.

May we therefore appeal for your generous support by being one of our blood donors: and at the same time, to invite your relatives, friends, household members, co-workers, neighbors and others to be part of this NOBLE ACT and be one of the so-called MODERN DAY HERO.

The time and effort that would go with this undertaking will not go unrewarded. A donor will be given a DONORS CARD, which is transferable to everyone who needs blood and no expiration date. A cardholder with two donations may withdraw a bag of blood (regardless of blood type) anytime at the Marikina Blood Bank located at the Amang Rodriguez Medical Center, free of charge. Also, donors are entitled to an Insurance Benefits under the SAGIP KA 2000 FOUNDATION, Inc. for 1 year. Benefits assistance includes:

Ambulance Services   Php 1,000
Medical Reimbursement due to accident   Php 7,000
Burial Assistance due to natural causes
Within 5 months of membership   Php 1,000
After 5 months of membership   Php 2,000
After 1 year of membership   Php 5,000
After 2 years of membership   Php 10,000
Death Benefit Assistance due to accident   Php 15,000

INDEED, DONATING BLOOD IS A SELFLESS ACT OF SHARING. ALLOWING ONESELF TO EXPERIENCE A MINUTE OF PAIN WILL SAVE A LOT OF LIVES.

Let us go hand in hand in achieving the success for this year's blood donation.
