To All the Members of the IJA Family, Greetings of Peace and Joy this Christmas Season! We celebrate the coming of the Infant Jesus in the Manger with the joyful news that we have been granted PAASCU (Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools Colleges and Universities) accreditation for our High School program. This makes IJA the first co-ed school in Marikina to be given this most prestigious recognition from respected peers in the education community. The accreditation is a very precious gift from the Lord given to us as we observe our Pearl Anniversary this Christmas. Thirty years after we founded Infant Jesus Academy, named after the Holy Infant in the Manger, we receive this affirmation of our steadfast commitment to excellence and relevance in education. As the IJA children always say when they greet me, the Infant Jesus indeed loves us! The IJA family could not ask for a better reward for our long years of hard work. This recognition of course is due to the dedication and commitment of all our administrators, faculty members and staff, with the constant support of the IJA Family Council officers, our student body, parents and alumni. In behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks and congratulations to all. Accreditation is a never-ending process of self-examination and improvement of our programs, policies, personnel and facilities. It is not really a requirement from any entity, but this is a self-imposed commitment by the school administration to ensure the quality of education that IJA offers. As I write this letter, the Grade School Department is already preparing for a PAASCU consultancy visit in February 2010 for the eventual accreditation of the Grade School program. Please continue to pray for our school community that this coming visit will be a success. Within the month, the construction of a building that will house the IJA Primary School (Pre-School & Grades 1-3) in the Molave campus will be started. This move is being undertaken to decongest the main campus and give way in the future for more and better facilities for the Intermediate School (Grades 4-6 and High School). We hope for your continued support for all our efforts for the benefit of the IJA students. A Blessed and Merry Christmas to you and your family! Sincerely, MRS. CONSOLACION F. MALLONGA Chairperson, IJA Board of Trustees
